Our Restaurant

Delicate and intimate, our restaurant honours Middle Eastern gastronomy in the excellent Arabic-Middle Eastern culinary tradition.

Succumb to the charms of an authentic cuisine characterised by respect for the taste of each ingredient. Enjoy great classics such as chicken couscous, lamb tagine with prunes or shrimp curry and let yourself be tempted by less well-known dishes like minced beef with aubergine, tomatoes, lime and four spices or grilled cubes of lamb fillet.

Le Caviar du Palais

Mr. Shahriar Gharibi, the owner of the Oriental Palace started to know caviar already as a child, having been born not far from the Caspian Sea, his close and distant family worked for the producer Shilat.

In Paris, he became familiar with the different aspects of this product. As a manager at the Maison de l'Iran, Avenue des Champs-Elysées, he promoted its marketing.

In Switzerland for more than 30 years, he has been selling caviar to prestigious hotels and restaurants all over Switzerland, to private aviation companies as well as to numerous private customers. He is also an official importer approved by the Swiss authorities.

On request, he organises tastings for caviar lovers and chefs in his shop and laboratory located at rue du quai 8 in Montreux.
